MTF, on the rare occasion, I am going to agree 100% with what you said. Like I've always said, it's not what you think, but how you present it that is offensive. This time around, you presneted your material in a way that I find very appealing. Was that a New Years resolution of yours? LOL. j/k. If you can keep that up, I find it very possible that you may have some good posts on the way.

You are right...anyone who learns mosty forms, does only point sparring with hit and retract b/s, and learns to fight in a ridiculous stance will be in a bad situation. I guess it's a good thing that my CLF Kung Fu class, doesn't teach mosty forms, that we have full contact sparring, and we don't fight in ridiculous stances. It's funny, a lot of times girls will have to spar against guys, and the instructors won't let the guys go too easy on the girls. They say, make them fight their way free. I think that is awesome for the girls, since they need it the most.

Personally, i will agree with you that MT is pretty much the best stand up art there is, but I think San Shou is pretty much equal, and a CLF background on a San Shou fighter, being borderline superior. That would be the area, where we may not agree. However, I'm curious....do u find San Shou to be an effective m. art? I know it is, but I"m just curious to see if you're going to bash it just b/c it's Kung Fu.
The way I explained things right now is no different from last year it is just about how one wants to take in what say, many people misunderstand what I am trying to say.

To be honest with you I don't know anything about San Shou never heard of it until I started coming to these forums. However from the pictures I have seen of San Shou it looks the same as Muay Thai but it's just pictures. If San Shou is the same as MuayThai then obviously I won't find it to be useless but if it is like your typical style of kung fu(like shoalin, tiger claw, monkey, drunken monkey, snake, preying mantis) that does forms then yes I would say it too is useless, but I've never seen any demonstrations on San Shou so I can't give an exact answer.
