TKD is no weaker on the ground than most traditional striking martial arts so don't let that bother you. All martial arts are missing important ranges. Look at Judo's major weaknesses, it has no striking! Nowadays the trend is to train MMA, but all that is, is the combination of several other deficient martial arts (JUST LIKE TKD IS DEFICIENT) that put together make a complete fighter by the rules of MMA.
Basically all the idiots on this forum that say even one word about how one art is better than another (A) are goddamn pussies that have never even been in a fight and would never have the guts to be in one and/or (B) ego maniacs or really insecure and trying to make themselves feel better because the more they talk about how good they or their art is the more they believe it.
It's all BS dude, don't listen to a word they say unless it's well thought out, logical and unbiased.
