is the wood rotton? or is it cork? how thick is the wood?
and when you say throw through do you mean all the way, or it just penetrates to the other side.
Need more details as currently I have a picture of a bearded master flicking Diners cards through a solid oak front door to kill the postman, and I'm sure that isn't the case...
