When I was a child I was memorized by the Martial arts. I would spend hours in front of the TV on Saturday mornings watching Kung Fu Theater. I never missed a Bruce Lee or a chuck Norris movie. The TV series kung fu with David Caradine (sp?) was always a must see. I would spend even more hours defending the word against my evil older brother with KF kicks and karate chops.
My perception of MAs was molded by the movies, TV, and the adds in the back of comic books. When I was 12 years old I began learning Karate, and I still had the perception that Hollywood had taught me about the MAs. It took me a couple of years to realize I couldn’t do what they did in the movies nor could my instructor or anyone else for that matter. I found that reality is very different from the make believe world of Hollywood.
You still believe all the hype and the mysteries of KF. Every time someone challenges that belief you have only one thing to say. It must be fake KF. Like when I told you I have sparred a couple of wing chun guys and easily beat them, you say “
they practice fake wing chun”, or when Retired a former practitioner and Instructor of KF says your full of it you say he did not learn real KF, or when any other KF practitioner or former practitioner says something contrary to your belief you say they need to find a new instructor to learn real KF.
This is a very weak argument because you would have us believe that you and you alone practice the only one true KF and everyone else practices or teaches fake shit KF. You think that the MAs or at least KF is super natural and transcends all the natural laws of physics, chemistry, and biology. You’re thought processes are warped to say the least. Dude there are no mysteries in MAs there may be things forgotten, lost, or other wise not known but this does not testify to there effectiveness or their superiority.
Time and time again you say “
if a MT guy throws a kick like that or a boxer punches like so, then I would easily defeat him with this, or that”. You no what else I have discovered in my 20 or so years in MA? That theory doesn’t always work in reality.
You are stuck in the theory trap where the traditionalists hide; you have no idea about how to apply that theory in the real word because if you did you would not be saying half the garbage that comes out of your mouth.
