A boxer’s power.

Boxers turn punching into a real science. Power- Boxers first work to improve their form. Power comes from proper bone alignment, relaxation, pivot, weight shifting, and snap that transfer the energy from the ground up. The feet, hips, back, and shoulder all move with precise timing to transfer the energy through to the end of the punch and follow through and all energy into their opponent.

Punching power= .5mass x velocity (2) or (1/2mv2) I have seen different formulas but they all basically say the same thing.

I am a heavy weight I had always thought I could hit hard, that was until I started training in boxing. I soon found out that though I could hit hard the other heavy weights would out power me by far and there were cruiser and Light Heavyweights that had more power than I did and to top it all off they moved much faster than I did too.

In my boxing gym I had guys knock the wind out me while I was holding the heavy bag for them. I have had guys who have landed jabs on me and I saw stars. No one can tell me or convince me that boxers can’t hit hard!

Boxers spend more time and throw more punches than anybody. They work in front of mirrors, with coaches, other boxers, they use focus mitts, heavy bags, and other bags/pads to develop form and timing. Then comes the sparring. Boxers are the best punchers no one else compares. They can punch the hardest and the fastest and good boxer uses body and foot movement to make you miss. They also know when to punch and when not to, and they have very high percentages of landing punches especially against lower caliber boxers.

Power- here is a short list of knockout percentages of the KO kings.
1) Rocky Marciano: 87% KOs
2) Joe Frazier: 84% KOs
3) James Jefferies 83% KOs
4) Jack Dempsey: 79% KOs
5) Joe Luis: 78% KOs
6) Sonny Liston: 78% KOs
7) Max Baer: 74% KOs
8) Archie Moore: 73% KOs A light heavyweight with a 143 knockouts (although some may debate this)

Need I say more? Convinced?!?!?!?!?
but they did not knock-out their opponent in just 1 punch or 3 punches only, instead..... it reached to a plenty of rounds of fights before they knockout (mostly)

while in KungFu..... if kungfu will hit your first - he will not give you a time to recover thus, a sucsessive follow-up of rapid punches and wont stop until you see stars..... with no referee breaks. (this shows you how devastating kungfu is....)
