Hello Gordo,

I met Tuhon Torres and his family last year at the Sayoc Sama Sama event. I had the opportunity to not only train with him and his daughters but also interview him as well. Very nice guy and highly skilled in Kuntao Silat, as well as boxing and a variety of FMA's.

Guro Steve L.,

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to be dropping by Tuhon Torres' school later this weekend. Are you one of Tuhon Sayoc's students/instructors? I had the opportunity some years ago to participate in the Bravo and Charlie seminars and found them incredible.

It depends on the silat systems but all I know will enhance your close quarter skills...
I see it the other way, the main reason I train in Wing Chun is to developp the sensitivity I need in silat....

Yes, I figured it wouldn't hurt to complement my wing chun with more close quarter concepts. My friend who I work out with showed me some kali drills which were very different from Wing Chun sensitivity drills that I found were a great addition to my skillset. I also found adding southern mantis chi sao another fine supplement as well.
