I think that O-goshi works well in most scenarios. I would also agree with Lacrymosa about the Uchimata. There was a loudmouth in one of my BJJ classes and our instructor got tired of it. He threw the kid with an uchimata that fractured a couple ribs.

Sort of on this topic is a trend I noticed in BJJ tourneys that score the takedown with fewer points than they are worth, in my opinion. Even the UFC proved that you can knock someone out with a well executed takedown. It seems to me that BJJ in general does not put enough focus on takedowns.
