First a little about my history since I don't post on here very often. I'm 25 taken TKD for about 10 years however stopped a few years ago. Currently I'm training under Cheetah in Emeryville. I've been a national champion in TKD when I was 14 and been to countless tournaments throughout my carreer as a TKD practicioner.

Personally, there are only a few things I bring with me from TKD while I train in MT. One of course is, technique. Turning your feet while you kick, or pivoting on the ball of you foot to kick and twisting/turning your hips to gain power. Second is speed. In TKD, it's about being fast and accurate, and I try to bring that with me when I train in MT. Third is power. Although TKD in general doesn't have as much power as a MT fighter, I still bring what I've learned, and am developing it further.

I thnk Tom Yum explained it pretty well the differences and similarities of the two, so I won't repeat it.

Oh to the original poster, TKDkickboxer, sorry to cap on you, but seriously, I can't understand half of what you're trying to say. For example:

You said,

then maybe you guys shuld stop comparing the too you idiot. Anyway your wrong. THe too are very much alike.

but you go and compare the two and what you say seems like they are not alike. Basically contradicting what you said. I think you know what YOU are saying, but maybe you have a hard time writing it down. Not sure, just an observation.

And to the 1st poster. My gamar is bad ehh?
sorry that one just made my laugh.
