Not really.
I've found that alot of people have a natural curiosity toward the martial arts, guys especially. Alot of them want to learn martial arts, but don't know anyone else who does them or are too preoccupied to make time.
Alot of athletes dabble in martial arts, guys from the NFL or Major League Baseball take up MAs not only as a hobby but for some cross training/self defense. Actors & Actresses too.
