Shah Franco's is good no doubt. But for MMA we have the best possible instruction. Wagnney has one student fighting for a UFC title on October 22, add that to Bocek, Claude Patrick, Leo Santos ( took Gomi to a split decision in Japan when Gomi was number one, and learns his Muay Thai from Pedro Rizzo ). When Carlos needed to train for Renzo Gracie, he was with Wagnney all the time. Shah's guys are good and Antonio might even be special, but they don't have any wrestling ( Sean Pierson no longer trains there, and Bruckman has his own school far away), and that is a key part of MMA today. As for striking we draw on a former Canadian national Muay Thai champ. And there is no question who has the edge on the ground, we have the all of the top submission wrestlers in the country from 145-170 pounds. If you want to become an A level fighter, you got to come here, if you just want to have fun we are also the most accomodating.

We are the best place in Toronto to train because our instruction is world class, and open to people of all ages and abilities.

When Wagnney is in Brazil he is training with Shaolin (who will also drop by to teach), Robson Moura, Joao Roque, and Loro, under the instruction of Andre Pedeneiras ( who will be in to teach here). Andre taught Tito Ortiz, Chuck Lidell, Shaolin, Charuto and BJ Penn during formative years of their training. Andre has more students in the top ten of their respective weight classes in the world than anyone. There is a huge difference between what Wagnney has been exposed to and can teach his students and that which exists outside of his club in Toronto.

I am not claiming we have the deepest room of mmaers but I 'd put Bocek or Leo Santos against any of Shah's 155ers, and Wagnney against any of their 145 pounders any day. This is not meant to disrespect Shah Franco's, it's just to point out the huge discrepency in terms of the levels of the top guys at each club. That said I am a huge Richard Nancoo fan.

Cheers
