There are definately some women out there who can hold their own in sparring. I did not mean to imply that there weren't any tough ladies out there. I also never said that dirty tricks were the ONLY thing you needed to know about fighting. You DO need to develop speed, power, and technique as well.

Just for the record, a punch is not the same thing as an eye poke. Opening your hand will change your own body alignments, and therefore changes the technique. It is not as simple as "I'll just poke him in the eye in a real fight." You will fight how you train, so you need to train like you want to fight. If you never practice those "dirty tricks" you won't be able to pull it off under stress. Techniques you must think about are not ones you will be able to use.
