Yes, I was in charge of doormen. I managed some bars (although two simultaneous, the rest not all at once..leaving for the next) in famous New Orleans, Louisana-on "infamous" Bourbon Street.
I conducted seminars for these doormen. I had laid down foundational principles and tactics. There were many problems with clubs having to go to court because a doorman could not defuse a situation properly.
Although no longer formerly employed by these club owners, they still call me from time to time, to conduct training seminars. One must understand that a doorman-bouncer, has to realise the limitations of their job. They have to remain calm as possible and difuse a situation before physical uprisals.
Chinese Martial Arts in real life-just like any other martial art-applicable only from the dedication of the practictioner.
