I also think it's the total commercialization of arts like Tai Chi (especially in the US) that give people the impression that CMA's are not fighting arts. Plus, you don't see CMA fighters on ESPN2 every other day so people are completely ignorant.
I assume the originator of this thread was not trying to insinuate that CMA' are ineffective.
