It could be considered a very similar idea. Pentjakers take it to an extreme. Rather than draw a physical attack the idea of weak counterpart position is to draw the emotional conviction of superiority. I think of a Gracie in the early UFC pulling gaurd. Give up a superior position? What was going through the mind of his opponent was something like "this is going to be easy"... right before they got choked out.
One example might be to feint a complete lack of skill or confidence. Even pretending to be clumsy or drunk... Cripled, sore, injured, ill or other.
I have "accidently" head butted, elbowed, body bumped and tripped threatening individuals. I just seem to be in the wrong place at the right time...

I'm just so nervous and easily intimidated.
Weak counterpart position. More like a classic trap in a chess game than bait. A
feint of sorts.
