To Aku aku I know its hard to find a got school.
You know, when you are younger you are almost impressed by everybody.
One guy can do beautifull turning back kicks, another guy can hold his leg realy high for awhile, another guy have realy huge knuckles (but could'nt spar) etc. etc.
But when you get older you want to focus more on things you realy need.
The way I train now is completly different off the way I trained 10-10 years ago.
Then I trained to let people see what I could do.
Still, that was a good basis. Then I did cartwheels, handstands etc. and I still can do it now. Not that you can use it but its fun to do.
So the last few years I was tryiing to make a routine for a whole week (6 days) were I can do everything that a martial artist have to do.
But I dont want to train hours and hours. When you get older youve got other responsebilitys (family, work etc.).
On the other hand you have a school to run in your free time.
And these people pay to learn so I want to be in as good shape as possible to learn them all these things.
Its what Bruce Lee said: 'when you are not psychily fit you have no need to be a martial artist (or something like that, I think you know what I mean).
I dont train by a school anymore. I think I have seen enough off all these schools and maybay I am a little cocky but I think I can do it better myself.
The only problem is sparring etc. But I have a friend who is a martial artist to so we do spar and change ideas. Sometimes its hard because he is a traditional martial artist who does kata's, kumite's etc.
I have always focused on martial arts, so when they all talked about strengthtraining it was all new for me.
I always did some strengthtraining between my punching and kicking.
Now most off the people say that this is rubbisch but it works good for me.
So maybay I must think that I am diffent than other people and just do the way I always have done.
My martial arts training was much harder and longer then because off all the exercises I did between but when I did this 3 times a week it was enough.
When I felt good I did a little run on the days I didn't train.
So I always have had 3 good trainingroutines a week. The other stuff was just extra.
