i believe the military addresses the fact you and your opponent SHOULD be armed...and hostile bad guys are on the way...also the military stresses losing means your life, not your title. torture and death await the soldier who loses a fight. street cred lol. one guy in my BJJ class went and trained with the navy seals, yes the seals are from san diego, and he said they were impressed with his jiu jitsu and said the stuff that they knew was mostly moves to kill or maim and chokes, no flying armbars or anything. you werent in the military boar, so you dont know either. maybe you were who knows, what I do know is i carry a gun in the car these days, and one next to the bed...and i sleep well
