This would definately work on me

(a green belt) but getting low isn't necessarily a good idea against better judokas. Alot of the brown and black belts i spar with love to get you bent over because that puts you under their control. True you aren't going to be able to throw a lot the techniques that most people recognize as judo, but all kinds of new possibilities open up at the same time. Particularly, a low stance opens you to the possibility of the judoka getting an arm over your shoulder at which point you're pretty well screwed.
I'm not making any assertions/predictions on which would win blah blah blah, but i've been thrown by world class judokas

and i'm just saying that no simple stance will keep you safe from judo.
