Most grappling places will teach you a bit about strikers. Aikido trains excusivley in how to defend against sriking attackers, but IMO they train like babies and don't learn anything practical. BJJ and Judo should include some ground striking or striking defence but I find that it is usually grappling exclusive, though my BJJ place is and MMA place and it also includes Muay Thai, so we get out regemen of striking skills in.
Judo is helpful for takedowns, and basic submissions, but obviously it is Gi oriented. Round it off with some no Gi takedowns and submissions and thats very valid. |
