"TRIPLE IMPACT" - Miles vs. Lopes = David vs. Goliath!!!

The Calgary Amateur Kickboxing and Muay Thai Association (CAKMA) is promoting their first action packed event of 2006!!
'TRIPLE IMPACT' features as one of its semi-main events, Calgary's JESSE ' SMILES' MILES (top) against Portugal's RICARDO LOPES (bottom). Both athletes are sitting on very similar fight records but what will set this fight apart is the massive height difference between these two lightheavyweights. Miles is only 5 feet 9 inches tall whereas Lopes is 6 feet 5 inches tall (1.92 mt). Lopes is unusually tall for a lightheavyweight and by far the tallest opponent Miles has ever faced... bringing to mind the famous confrontation between David and Goliath... will Miles 'stones' (punches, kicks, elbows and knees) be able to drop the giant? Will Miles be able to handle the height and reach difference? This is guaranteed to be one incredible fight! Do not miss this one!

Calgary’s own Trevor ‘TNT’ Smandych headlining the event, returning to the ring in Calgary for the first time in fifteen months!!! This also marks the return of Professional Full Muay Thai Rules to Calgary in 15 months!!! Smandych has been battling tough opponents all over the world!!! He now steps into the ring with Portugal's Gil Silva. This event 'TRIPLE IMPACT', is being filmed for television to be shown during early 2006.

Team Canada (featuring other athletes coached by Ajarn Mike Miles) including Jesse Miles, Scott Clark and Misty Sutherland, will be taking on athletes from Portugal!! The under card features the talents of Phil Leier, Darren Snell, Brad Wall,... all itching to compete in front of a Calgary audience while they prepare for the 2006 World Amateur Championships in Bangkok, Thailand in May/June 2006.
