one of the things for me to continuing to buy at a certain place is that i'm able to get a whole sale account for my business. So, maybe you can set up your site as a retale program, then also have a whole sale program. For customers to obtain a whole sale account, they'll usually have to show some sort of proof of a established business (tax id number, business card, website...ect).
Having some items sold in bulk is a good idea.
Things I usually try and buy in bulk are Mouth peaces, HandWraps and I usually try and buy on a special for sparring mitts if they are selling 2 pairs at a discounted price. Or 2 setts of head gear. But sence I teach both boxing and kickboxing, when I buy equipment, I look for the USA boxing approved gear.
Another idea , that would establish your site a bit, is maybe having it posted on other sites as well and give the option of letting other business's do the same on yours. Like post a Favorit Link area or Related Link. Maybe give a option of added other peoples line of Product. Like for instance, if you added my book to your line of product,then I add your business on to my link page or add to my product area.
