the first couple of weeks getting back into training is the wake up period. Your waking up the muscles. So, it's going to take a little longer recovering. But stay consistant in your training and things will become easier.

If you havn't worked out in a long time. Toning maybe the best way to start your training. I prefer lifting weights 3 days a week, doing full body workout routines on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Then do KickBoxing/Boxing training on Tuesday and Thursday and use Satureday as a extra sparring day if I havn't had enough sparring. Then Sunday is a rest day.
