Agreed, but that's why you see them use hands/arms to set up their leg shots. Disorient with punches/elbows, then swing in a roundhouse which if it connects will take the other guy OUT.

And I don't know if you've ever seen Ramon Dekkers back hook/swing kick, but it was as fast as any I've ever seen from TKD.
