But I agree, if youre being attacked then its acceptable to use a knife or any type of weapon as long as youre defending yourself and youre at a distinct disadvantage.

What you are talking about is called a dispute escalating to mutual assault... (Simple Assault)..You can both go to jail! Yeah! How stupid do you feel being all grown up now? Who do you call to bail you out? Can you afford your own attorney or do you go with court appointed representation? Do you like having a criminal record? Paying fines? Going to anger managment courses? Community service? Probation? Uh huh... Still think you know how to defend yourself?
