I like Excessive’s stop kick, I also like the Teep, Muay Thai push kick.

Often what happens when two guys square off and come at each other is a massive train wreck collision.

Trying to block a windmill of awkward angles is like sticking your finger in leak in the dyke as another hole appears, sooner or later you can’t keep up (you run out of fingers). The problem with this ideology infers we are relegated to the realm of the “reaction” side of the axis, this means we are behind the curve. One of the insidious side effects of modern training is that it looks at a fight as being symmetrical. Most sparring as in karate, kickboxing, etc, is a prime example of this.

What has really shown to work (with repeatable results) Is agressing through our opponent using the most aggressive and efficient methods possible to dominate him.

Here for example, a wedge entry platform may perform well as it protects your head as you enter (inside of his punching range). Unless you train for this eventuality, most folks don’t know what do here because standard striking methods don’t work at this range. From here it is a bit of linebacker jitsu i.e. double chin-jab and drive them back like a NFL lineman breaking through the offensive line to get to the quarter back. Drive through. Now, we have a jump off point for many other robust options including weapons access or simply continue with an aggressive all out asymmetrical assault on your opponent. Make him react to you. Action is faster than reaction, it’s a bitch but it’s true.

Let’s get rid of this notion that street fights are like ring sports, they are not. Unless you are fighting a fucking retard then I guess you can play patty cake with him.
