We have to be careful training finger locks due to the injury aspect, especially if you are going hard. The other problem is that nerve points and finger locks, even armbars, are pain compliance. If the opponent is on drugs, he may not feel anything, and you will get little effect. Neck cranks, however, are very valuable, even without the pain compliance. When I train with Egan and Charuto, we use neck cranks all of the time. It is a basic part of our strategy. You are right about using street tactics, we just need to be sure that our partner will be able to train the next day, and that we are using tactics that will work when the adrenaline is flowing.
Keep coming with the questions!

Everyone else is invited to put in their two cents as well.
