The two squared off and sized each other carefully for a minute or two. Then the inevitable clinch. Silva throws some close knees, which seems to irritate Franklin a bit, and drove up against the fence. Silva got a solid two handed hold against the back of Franklin's neck, and after holding that for a good 30 seconds or so, finally landed a solid knee square into Franklin's face. That staggered and wobbled the soon to be former champ, and sent him stumbling backward. Then Silva threw the knockout kick, sending Franklin to the ground, and Big John stopped it. |
