hello,

tonyblauer (of blauer systems) used to run a camp called chu fen do. it sounds fruity, but it is effective.

he did a lot of work on the psychology of combat, getting people to understand the underlying principles of violence.

while he did teach technique at his camp, he also taught threat recoginition, as well as scenario training.

multiple attackers, some armed, some not, single attackers, some armed, some not, you armed sometimes, sometimes not....daytime, nighttime, open spaces, hallways... he even devised a "lab" that was a bedroom. you went to sleep and they would strike. through all this, people really learned how they and others would behave during an attack.

he even did these scenarios himself. nnot so he could beat up on students, but to test his theories and really know what goes on in the mind of the attacker and the attacked.

if you are bent on learning this stuff, contact blauer systems and send him an email. he is busy, but he might be able to make some realistic suggestions on developing proper situations, safety etc.

thanks
