No, I disagree. Not a stupid idea, just completely impractical, for the reasons I stated. Every time we try to come up with something to replace coal or oil, ultra leftist environmental loons protest, because it could effect the gnatcatcher or yellow bellied lizard population. Lets just say we found a way to produce energy from sea water. In a few years, crazy leftists would be blaming us for consuming too much water, and lowering the sea levels. You watch.

But that's where I differ with right wing whackos like you Jubaji. While you quickly deem something "monumentaly stupid" you do absolutely nothing to find a solution, except to say that God made oil for us to use, and that there is no chance of depletion. The agenda of the right, when it comes to oil, is plain for all to see. Money. And moreover, you block any suggestions to attempt to find a better way. That's the essence of what a conservative republican is. Someone who stays the course, never changes, is obstinate and thinks those are all good character traits. Anyone changing thier mind is a flip flopper, right?

Your right wing radio hosts are famous for thier spin. Thier idea of an argument is to loudly shut down the other side, and claim they won the debate. As I have said before (and I do listen to Rush, Ziegler and Drudge daily) all you guys have to do is mention Hilary, snicker and laugh, use enough contempt in your voice, and you don't need to even bring up any facts or truth. You just steamroll right over any opposition. Rush Limbaugh is an evil man, in my opinion, and a tool of the extreme right. His show is completely one sided. There is never any debate when he has a captive audience, and control of that mute button. Anyone coming close to proving him wrong is quickly shut down. But, he always wins, because he looks like a rugged American football coach, smokes cigars, plays golf. it's a stereotype that people intrinsically look up to, when compared to a milquetoast like Al Franken, who looks like the smart aleck nerd you always wanted to beat up in high school.

I would like to hear your take on an alternative for oil, and what you are going to do about it. At least most democrats are trying, despite your villification of people like Al Gore. Al Gore may not be right about everything, but he is trying to point out problems. You just deny there even is a problem, or say that Al Gore is a hypocrite. That's all we ever get from the extreme right. Laughter, derision and snickering. Heck, Rush Limbaugh could even denounce Mother Teresa, and you all would be nodding your heads in agreement, saying "that's soooo true"!!
