Oof.

Prepare for the onslaught of "None of you know what you're watching, and that's why you don't like that video!"

Personally, what Erle is doing in that clip doesn't look very congruent with what he's showed elsewhere. For example, I dug up the rest of the "How to Fight a Grappler" videos, and the angle he shows here is different enough that you'd have to choose one or the other. Fighting a guy able to do both (strike or grapple) would put you in a position of having to choose between different structures. To me, that's bad.

I think his stuff in this video could be more direct (and by that, I don't mean "straight in" but rather "efficient in terms of angles and movement"). For my tastes, I like this kind of stuff:

YouTube - How To Fight And Defend Yourself In A Fight
If you are able to see this message it means that you don't have flash installed or that the video server is down.

I'm not a fan of everything Bas does, but dammit, I gotta love the approach and the charisma! "Bongitta Bongitta Bang!" It also requires far less "cultivation" of your internal this-and-that to be able to use this stuff effectively than something like what big Erle is teaching.
