It's a shame to see such things. Most of the time it's a pride issue, and people just need to learn how to deal with their aggression, but occasionally I would say it's driven by the value of these vehicles. People pay a lot of money for their cars, and to have someone damage or come close to damaging one, can be interpreted as disrespect, and a fight ensues.
I've got to admit, I've had moments where I wanted to drag someone out of their car, and take it to them. But, common sense and a little thing called morals takes over. It's all about self control. If it's a bad situation, call the cops. Don't get yourself arrested.
