Glover Teixeira, BJJ black belt, Pit instuctor, and ridiculously nice guy and his teammate, former K-1 fighter Scott Lighty, both fought last night. Lighty won his match against Derek Thornton in 2:33 by submission (strikes) and Glover won his match against Jorge Oliveira by TKO in
five seconds.

It was a short shift at work for Glover Teixeira on Thursday night as he needed just five seconds to dispatch of opponent Jorge Oliveira in a light heavyweight showdown that highlighted Palace Fighting Championship’s “No Retreat, No Surrender”.
The active crowd inside the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino saw Teixeira counter an Oliveira leg kick with a right hand that sent Oliviera falling stiffly to the canvas. Teixeira then pounced on Oliveira and landed a flurry of unanswered punches until referee Josh Rosenthal jumped in and stopped the fight.
