That's just it, though; A start. With any luck, I hope to be running 2 miles 2-3 times a week instead of 1 soon and dropping to pump out as many push-ups as possible at random times during the day (Whenever I don't have anything to do at th moment) has gotten to be a common practice, it seems.
My sister claims they run trainees 4 miles a day in basic, but then again, she wasn't in the army and my family has a old saying: don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
