I've got long legs, so I don't know how well this works for guys with shorter legs, but if I'm mounted on a guy who's that much bigger than me (which doesn't happen often), I like to keep disconnected. Let him move however he wants, but don't let him move me with him. If I'm making lots of contact, all he has to do is roll over and I go. If I have limited contact, he rolls and I get an opportunity for an armbar, triangle, or back control (and I'd like to emphasize the opportunity part... definitely not guaranteed, sometimes I end up on bottom anyway, but as a principle it's worked better for me than anything else I've tried so far).
