I can't say I know much about any of the other fighters mentioned but I'll stick to Bruce for now. When I was injured, I found out about his use of EMS (electronic muscle stimulation) therapy to rehabilitate himself. They told him he'd never walk again. That's how I found out about it and took advantage of it. I don't know what I would've done had I not learned about it.
I'm also thankful to Bruce for teaching Kung Fu to non-Asians at the risk of losing his credentials. When you think of everything he accomplished during his day, under his circumstances, he was amazing. He may not have been the best - who really knows - but when a fighter goes that far to break traditions centuries old in order to set people free to fight and defend themselves full force without technical restraint, he's doing us all a service. So a man can be great for fighting for himself, but this man fought to teach us all. Not a philosophy buff, but I dig common sense. If there exists a faster, better way, then going after it sounds right to me.
