Tom, you can't go wrong eating lots of meat, vegetables (esp. greens), nuts and seeds, and some starches and sugars. Make sure you're getting at least some non-fruit/veggie carbs; don't want to deplete your glycogen stores... Which I have a funny story about btw.

If you're eating a lot of grains presoaking them to get rid of the phytic acid is a good idea. And since you're probably somewhat stressed out make sure you're getting as much sleep as you can, clean water and lots of B vitamins, magnesium and zinc.

Are you having trouble getting enough calories in? Coconut milk is the answer. Mmm, Thai food.

Someone has to tell me how to use my hand-me-down Foreman grill.

GQChris, Emergen-C is a better choice than Pedialyte for electrolytes...just look at the awful ingredients in pedialyte. The Emergen-C people make an electrolyte mix too. And you can get Emergen-C light with no sugar.
