LOL ... if what I've heard from some other folks via e-correspondence is representative of the US feelings at all (and I'd guess it is), "extreme response" is probably an understatement ... and I don't think anyone will blame us (US) for what happens if (hopefully, when) we do find out who *is* responsible.
As I say, though, what I've heard on the news here in US, the fingers are still pointing at Bin Laden as primary suspect. Of course, he may be denying it because he knows the response would be pretty major.
On the one hand, I hope that authorities don't jump the gun and get the wrong person/people ... but on the other hand, I hope reprisal is swift ... if for no other reason than the morale of American citizenry.
