All the other posts are right. No rules, no stopping, no mercy. Your opponent has no respect for you and is looking to seriously lay the hurt on you. You cannot throw in the towel and no one can stop the beating. That's reality.

If someone is holding you in their guard for their buddy to hit you with a baseball bat, rip his ear off. Bite, poke eyes, grab balls, break knees. That's reality when you are in danger.

Of course, you have options and you're not going to do this to the drunk guy who's an idiot at the bar. My instructor always tells us that we're being nice if we break someone because back in the day, they would probably would have been killed.

NHB Competitions are sports! Great competitors, great athletes but none of them is going to poke anothers eye out to get them to release a lock.
