Not sure what happened to her. She tapped me out (nearly choked me out with a triangle) at my first Machado JJ class back in '97. I don't know if I was more shocked by the "position" of the technique or the fact I couldn't pull out of it. Either way,it was a nice introduction to the art
I believe she was his first purple belt at the time, but I am not sure. I haven't seen her since then. I did hear about her fighting in some NHB locally a while back, but that's it.
Not sure why he is promoting several at a time. It's obviously his perrogative. Being such an awesome instructor, he has a ton of extremely talented students under him. I have no idea, but with all of that talent, I would guess there will be more promotions like this in the somewhat near future.
