Visualisation is very benifical indeed for developing insticual technique.
AND infact strenght and fitness! There was a study done. They got 60 people and they did this:
20 people imagined doing 100 repetions of lifting their little finger.
20 people did do 100 reps of lifting there little finger.
20 people did nothing with their little finger.
All the people did this every day for 6 days a week for a month. At the end the 20 people who had imagined doing the exercises had some increase in strength. Not as much as the people who actually did it though.
