This is just an excerpt from an e-mail I sent to a friend about the camp. I was invited to observe but I would have loved to get out there and go for it.

...we didn't get back from the camp until about 11:30 last night. Very cool though. It was held at camp W********n (I don't know if I should reveal that or not?) which is in the foot hills of the coast range about an hour Northwest of Beaverton (which is just west of Portland). They had the whole camp to themselves, 520 heavily wooded acres with nothing but hardcore Thai Boxers running around. Tents and a few trailers were spread around the woods and
the main activity was around the lodge which had one side of the building open to the elements facing a very large field with a campfire area and benches off to one side. The center of the lodge had a cooking area and a large stone fireplace in front of that facing out to the field. there was a wing off of each side of the fireplace area (that was also open to the field) which were filled with rows of heavy bags and knee bags suspended
(above a creaky plank floor) from large timbers supporting the roof. Twenty five to thirty heavy bags with a few knee bags here and there. The terrain away from the lodge is a little hilly which made the runs a little tougher. After about an 80 round work out yesterday, everyone relaxed last night to a feast of fresh Thai food rounded off with brownies and ice cream (they earned it). Thai Boxing bouts on video and everyone mingling and having a great time. Very, very cool...
