I will give the karate a try.
I did track down one guy via the internet that had a website for his wingchun class, I gave him a call and it turns out that he had abandoned his website and given up teaching to a class (he taught for 8 yrs) but he did offer me some private lessons. I asked about training with the wooden dummy and he said "Oh, you won't start on dummy forms for 18 months". Does that sound reasonable to you guys? Personally, I cant see someone wanting to give up their saturday mornings for a year and a half to teach me (me and a couple of friends). I will go and meet him anyway.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone who posted.
BTW: I am a (fat) web designer. I notice that a lot of you have websites in various states of completion, if any of you need any help I would be happy to return the favor.
