Well, he passed the guard and got to side control. (I made him work for it, but he finally got it.) Then, when he went to knee on stomach he had a more upright posture. He wasn't hitting. He was just mashing my solar plexus with his knees and controlling me with hands. His posture was pretty good too, so I couldn't pull him over. He took his right hand and grabbed my belt while he grabbed my left arm with his left hand. He basically did an upright row with my body while dropping all his weight into my solar plexus--which sucks.
I was trying to push off his knee and shrimp off to my right side and create some space to engage my legs. But I couldn't get it.
When I brought my left leg up to try to get a leg over he just switched positions to punish me with his left knee instead of his right for a while.
Anyway, I couldn't solve it. Oh well, at least I didn't barf on the mat. (Felt like it though after a while.)
