I don't understand what you're saying.

All I'm saying is that you don't need all that fancy junk you have at your new studio or whatever. There are three reasons to take up martial arts: (actually a lot more than three)

1) For health
2) As a sport
3) For self defense
4) So you can be a cocky bastard, and show aff your belts
5) As an art

It just seems that you're being biased and leaning on only one reason to join, and that's for self defense

By the way, I do martial arts as an Art. It's a way to push myself beyond my limts. But don't worry, I do it progressively, and at a safe pace.
