Some of you in the post above shouldn't take the full brunt of this post. Understand I don't need to defend myself as my work stands for itself. I work my ass off and I am not a millionare. I left my job with no students to follow something I believe in. I work out of my house and have a few locations that I go to to teach. I teach every class myself. To some the above post might seem harsh, but I was merely trying to advertise my school(in my original post). I was doing guerilla marketing. Go to my website and you will see I have trained with the best. I just get tired of this kind of crap.
They say that "Bluntness intimidates the weak and gauges the strong." Again the newspapers will show you that people that have never taken martial arts have defended themsleves successfully more times than people that have take martial arts. The big story is always when someone that is in martial arts has defended themselves, why do you think that is? Remeber those judo guys in CA that were carjacked a couple of weeks ago? Heard their story. They tried one martial arts technique (almost killed the guy because he didn't know to tap, use of force continium would not allowed that, the force must parallel the danger, in fact they would have gone to jail had he died from not a carotid choke but from one that was cutting off air, crushing his trachea) and the rest was spraying gas on the guy and such? Black Belts none the less spraying gas on the guy? Sounds like ........hell sounds silly but it worked? I can't tell you how many times I have seen a good grappler go for a submission attempt over and over as the attacker (my student reaches for a boot knife) goes for a weapon. Limits my friend will limit your repsonse. Not training to find what works will get you killed. Art is meant for walls, not self defense.
