okay Builder of Muscle we are now able to talk......I am glad we can each respect the idea that we have a different approach. You are right in saying the chances are slim for you to be attacked but for women and children it isn't. 1-3 women in a lifetime and children under the age of 12 is 1-6. Scary stuff. I think though maybe I miss led you into thinking that every thing I teach is physical. Not true in fact 65% (roughly) is mental and emotional training. Think of it in terms of the olympics. Every one in lets say swimming the butterfly and a set distance is about the same physical skill. They each have to do the same stroke the same way with little difference. They eat different they train different to a degree but bottom line is it is primarily the same. What seperates them is the mental techniques and stress conditioning. Colorado Springs will let you walk through the Olympic training grounds for free and they explain all this. They have to look for the edge. Same with me. It is pretty expansive but the general idea is you have to prepare your self for the cussing the screaming the pushing and such. People freeze at that point. All of us have done that stammering, stepping backwards as someone gets ready to take our head off. I teach my guys how to talk their way through it. People don't train like that and when it happens they freeze. Tactically this is one of the most advantages positions and points to begin threat assesment. After that you need to know your options legally and what it takes to get home. The least amount of force with most amount of damage. The ultimate strategy is to walk away. That is a skill and believe it or not many people can't do it. Men have huge ego's and we can be stupid at times. I used to be a commerical teacher with a ton of awards and degrees (belts) I left it all in the search of what works. That is just me. I had to start over. I am proud of that fact. I am also glad that you and I can talk about this even after the above post. No hard feelings I just hear people all the time that say shit to me without taking the time to consider what it is I do. Good luck in your training. I am not right nor you....we just have different focus.
