builder of muscle,

6 days per week is far too much to train and grow optimally, especially if you are also doing martial arts and running! Your body needs time to recover and grow, and this process occurs while you are resting.

I have written several articles for beginning weight training routines, and they can be seen at

www.mmaringreport.com

Click on my Strength and Conditioning column and there will be a new article as well as an "archive of past columns. I think they can give you some good ideas how to structure your training to get even better results.

MMA Ring Report is an international site dedicated to the professional NHB circuit. I train some professional fighters, and have had experience in putting together routines that allow them to grapple, do standup training, run, and lift weights ALL WITHOUT BURNING OUT. You have to carefully balance things to get the best results. A haphazard approach will slow your progress. I get email from all over the world asking for advice on program setup, and would also be happy to help you out. That's why I came to these forums.

Good luck,

Lee
