Dont think of it as a front kick think of it as a push kick. like when someone tries to tie you up and you use your hands (palms) to push them back. Lift yor leg up push out using the bottom of the foot
not the ball (like with a front kick). Extend your hips forward (dont lean back) and push your opponent back. Practice on a heavy bag. The impact doesnt need to snap the bag like a front kick does, but remember after contact extend the hips through and push the bag back. It should swing back.
