There is tons of stuff that you could do. Medicine Ball drills are one of the best ways to train your stomach for absorbing hits. Have a partner throw it at your midsection as hard as you can take it, receive the blow with your midsection, then catch it, throw it back to your partner and repeat it. The drill described by swan is also really good. You can also make the heavy bag hit your stomach by pushing it and absorbing the impact. Have a partner hit your stomach with focus gloves while you do sit ups, etc. I have a drill I could give you but I gotta leave right now so if you are interested PM me.
