Yeah, what you two said is pretty much what I figured. It is giving me a chance to toy with some things, like shorter, quick hooks against body shots and stuff where you turn the hip but don't get the full pivot. As I said, I told my instructor about it and he's giving me slightly different drills when the rest of the guys are doing hooks or uppercuts. That and keep all my teeps coming from the rear leg, and I'm sure I'll be fine in a week or so.
As for taking a break, I have a wedding coming up in November...I'm sure my fiancee will build plenty of planning days in to give me days off
