Default advice

burton.. i need some advice on dealing with a certain style. i have a friend who is a capoeira stylist, they have an unorthodox way of moving, and when i get in his zone, they have a wiked spin kick, and multiple attacks. they also can ground fight. sparring with him is a challenge, the question i have is if you have encountered the art in sparring, and tips you may offer. i enjoy sparring with as many arts as i can as it relly helps me learn, about myself. in which i have learned that there are no bad arts, just bad artists. so i have learned alot about myself, and my limitations, which is key in jkd. capoeira train with an off time drum beat, which forms a base of their attacks, from the base of the jinga. i took some lessons in it to get a handle on their concepts, but trying to get into trapping (their one weakness) and apply preasure, is a real challenge. any tips or comments you can "offer" will be appreciated. another thing i have learned is" sparring with a student in any art is easy, but to spar with a master, takes one to beat one"....lee
